The Muslim Cemeteries Association (MCA) was established in 2021 when the Mowbray Cemetery Management approached its founders to develop a web application for the manual burial process they were following.
The founders' vision was to develop the application, but it would need to provide the same facility to other cemeteries, whether local, national, or international. muslimgraves.com was developed to provide an online application to a family member of a deceased person handling the burial. It aims to computerise/automate the burial process between the Deceased Family, The Cemetery and the Undertaker.
MCA is a joint venture undertaken by the founders/developers and the Mowbray Cemetery Management.
MCA does not operate the cemeteries and therefore cannot field any queries relating to that.
muslimgraves.com is an autonomous application managed by volunteers. MCA charges the cemetery a nominal fee to cover software licences and operational costs. Any surplus funds will go toward social development and future Islamic projects.
